ADOPTION COMMUNITY: PLEASE PM ME IF INTERESTED>
This is a longterm respite/ readoption situation
this is a new update from the mom
Here is an update:
She is now 17 - will be 18 in Jan. She is being discharged from the
Treatment Home at the end of June, after school is done for the year.
Since being in the treatment home she has made great progress with the
family. She still gets straight As, holds
a pt job, is off all medication, goes to individual counseling to
process her feelings, is active in church and youth group, listens and
follows house rules, does her chores, does not pull out her hair or make
holes in her legs/arms and seems to be happy. However, she can not
return to our family. She refuses to talk to my husband (we work
opposite schedules), will not make eye contact with me, will not
acknowledge that we are the parents and make the rules in the house, has
almost no relationship with her siblings. SHe did not want to be
returned to our family, but wanted to stay with the Treatment Family,
which could of been an option. Since learning of her being released the
Treatment family does not want her because they will no longer be paid
by the Organization to keep her. They plan on gettig a new child to they
can "Make a living" She is only agreeing to come back here so she can
be with her siblings.
She is also going to be a Senior nxt year in HS. She does plan on going to college to become a Dr or Nurse.

Original Mattel 1967 22" Mrs. Beasley Doll Talks! and Original Glasses
It's Mrs. Beasley! This adorable doll got her start on the American Sitcom, Family Affair. The character, Buffy, was always seen carrying the old Mrs. Beasley around all the time, and people fell in love.
Best of all, this Mrs. Beasley has her original pull cord and voice box. Her voice is slightly crackly, but it is very clear to the ear what she is saying.
Actress Maureen McCormick of Brady Bunch fame, lent her voice to the doll's voice box. She says six phrases in total:
"Would you like to try on my glasses? You may if you wish." "I do think you're the nicest little friend I've ever had!" "Gracious me! You're getting to be such a big girl." "If you could have three wishes what would you wish for?" "Long ago, I was a little girl just like you." "It would be such fun to play jump rope! Don't you think?"
Though it's a tiny bit scratchy, her voice sounds just fine!
She is made of blue fabric with white polka-dots and wears an apron to match. Her feet are covered in soft yellow fabric. Her apron and her little Peter Pan collar are embellished with bright yellow rick-rack.
The doll's hands and face are made of light flesh-colored vinyl while her enormous eyes are bright blue. Our favorite part is her big and square wire glasses.
The glasses stay on her face firmly, but can be taken off if you get the urge to try them on. They really do go perfectly with her curly yellow hair.
Measurements: 22" tall Weight: 8 oz.

A well-known speaker started off his seminar
holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like
this $20 bill?" Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give
this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this."
He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill. He then asked, "Who still wants it...?" Still the hands were up in the air. "Well," he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.
"My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We may feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE.
You are special-Don't EVER forget it." If you do not pass this on, you may never know the lives it touches, the hurting hearts it speaks to, or the hope that it may bring. Count your blessings, not your problems.
